400 joint personnel of Satpol PP, army, and police tore down 250 buildings standing on the west side of Karang Riverbank at Jalan Pergudangan, RT 07/16, Pejagalan Urban Village, Penjaringan, North Jakarta, Tuesday (3/31). The riverbank is known as Jakarta administration's property.

Those buildings which are generally semi-permanent have been built since 10 years ago. Before being controlled, the warning letter was given to the owners three times by Penjaringan Sub-District.
"The riverbank that has a length of 2 kilometers and 60 meters width will be re-functioned. Most of the owners had demolished their own building," said Penjaringan Sub-District Head, Yani Wahyu Purwoko.
